The BEST MULCH for a Vegetable Garden is NOT What You Think
Every type of mulch has pros and cons, but here's why river sand is probably the most under-rated, INCREDIBLE mulch I've used to mulch around our garden plants (for vegetable garden, orchard, landscaping, etc.)
Benefits of using river sand to mulch around your plants, that make it superior to wood chips, in my opinion:
1. Cost effective
2. Fire proof
3. Easy to keep weed free
4. Doesn't decay
5. Provides great drainage
6. Easy to mow around
7. Versatile (many other uses around homestead for chicken bedding, making areas drain better with less mud, sandbox, fire barriers, tilling sand into garden to improve drainage and root penetration, etc.)
etc!
*Note: make sure to use river sand and not beach s...

I've eaten bushels and tons of not quite ripe mulberries, sweet and tart, feel great afterwards, better than when i just eat the type ones 😂. There's probly some health benefit to the red ones we don't even know yet.

yes there are.. its been proven that most UNRIPE green fruit are good for the gut. and ripe mulberries have more nutrients but also lots of sugar. and red ones are just in-between.. its best to eat them in all stages that way you get a super healthy nutrient profile.

I tore my ACl really badly like almost two weeks ago, and I was really scared. I’m only 14 and I was playing flag football in gym. I don’t even play it as a sport. Something I’m very lucky is that I’m a Muslim hijabi girl and I don’t play sports like seriously. I am athletic and energetic but playing sports outside of school professionally is not my thing. But what I do have to say that I want to do physical therapy instead of surgery. Like I said I heard people that are athletes go to surgery. So I’m not an athlete. But something I want to say really upsets me. Since I’m Muslim and I need to pray 5 times a day. And one thing I can do is sujood. So I have to pray while sitting on my bed. But Allah knows my intentions. Thank you if you read all of this but God has a plan for you, he’s the best of planners have a good faith 😊❤

Knee injury.. In February 2023, I suffered a knee injury that resulted in emergency care where I was given crutches which I walked with for about 3 months. Couldn't put my foot down for the first 2 months. After 3 months, I dropped the crutches and began walking with a limp for about 6 months on the front of my foot. It was not possible to take a natural step with the entire foot blade where the heel was involved. (hence the limp) At about 12 months after the injury, I was able to start using the entire foot so that walking started to normalize without an excessive limp. However, the leg felt weak so it was not possible to put a normal force, load on that leg when walking, but the entire foot was in action during the walk. It has now been 16 months, and the last few weeks it feels like the leg can handle a normal step when walking without feeling weak. Haven't taken any medications. Haven't trained the leg, the knee. Have only rested and walked actively every day and cycled in the summer. Cycling felt good already about 6 months after the injury. The only doctor's visit was an emergency the day of the injury when I got crutches. No doctor's visits and no x-rays or examinations are performed after the day of injury. How did the injury occur? I was knocked over by a skier with three (3) sled dogs who came running in a row with about 3 meter running lines connected in a fan to a long running line (about 5 meters) connected to the skier. I was talking to an acquaintance at the side of a groomed ski track (about 4 meters wide) where the sled dogs were coming at full speed. We did not perceive the situation as dangerous given the space behind my back for the dogs and the skier where they were. What happened was that one (1) dog ran between me and the person I was talking to, so that my left knee joint caught the dog's running line in the knee crease and pulled the knee joint inward from the left side. A reflex strikes and defends with all resistance the dog's pulling force by pressing the leg into the snow and bracing against the dog's force. Succeeded well with one dog, but when the other (2) dog forces were added, the knee joint could not withstand three (3) dog forces. The knee upper leg twisted (rotated) to about 2 o'clock (two) and it "popped" and I fell powerless with pain. Then I lay in a trauma-like position for about 10 minutes before I got up and got help with transport to emergency care at the hospital. The knee swelled the first day. Don't yet know exactly what was damaged as no follow-up examination has been carried out. (Parentheses) of similar more severe injury .. Shoulder injury Had a severe shoulder injury in 2019 when the right shoulder ball was crushed into 6-10 parts in a skid accident in the winter (month of March). The shoulder dangled like a rope for the first few months. However, moved the joint by lifting the arm with the other and with the fingers against a wall climbing so that the shoulder joint received daily movement. Even daily water baths created easier movement of axeled in water. After 8 months, a shoulder operation was planned, but I asked for a "consultation meeting" with the head doctor and the operating orthopedist. The injury had begun to heal, but I could not lift my arm above chest height. I asked if it was not possible to wait another month or so with surgery while waiting for the progress of the natural healing process. The doctors agreed and they just gave me an injection of cortisone into the "bursa" (mucous sac). Healing continued and the shoulder is fully functional after about 2.5 to 3 years after the injury. My experience with severe injuries is to let the body heal itself without exercise other than movement and natural strain to the point of pain. No medications are necessary in most cases. But of course it depends on the damage that must be assessed.

Thanks a bunch for showing how to do this clearly. I was putting the string in the wrong direction. After a minute or two it wouldn’t self feed. I had to open it up, extended the line and get back on the job. I was like “ this can’t be right. Who would use a product like this “. Of the videos I searched only this one showed how to spool it right. Now I can get the same job done in 1/3 of the time I used to take before!! Yay! Thank you

I have found that if you don't wind your spool evenly, your line can get stuck in the spool and won't bump out. So it takes much more time and patience to wind a spool evenly. I'm now looking for a way to wind a spool without painstakingly using my hands. I have an idea that I will try soon. Good video, thanks.

Anyone with No ACL in Knee Out There? What's Your Experience So Far? So my story goes like this... I injured my knee about five months ago while playing futsal. I felt three continuous pops and leg started shaking. An MRI showed a complete rupture of the ACL, with some meniscus and MCL damage. The doctor suggested the conservative method since I’m not a professional footballer. I’ve been doing physiotherapy and regular leg strengthening exercises. Despite the therapy, I feel a knuckle-popping sensation every time I straighten my leg and sometimes a looseness feeling. Even so, I can do most routine activities except running and jumping without fear. Any others with no ACL in your knee? What's your experience so far? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!.
